On Site Personnel, LLC is looking for a purchasing assistant for a growing company in Owings Mills, MD.
Job Overview
The candidate will support the procurement team in creating purchase orders, monitors all PO’s and shipping information. This position will be supporting a dedicated group of suppliers which will include setting order patterns, establish MOQ and building excellent relationships. This role will also assist the Supply Chain team in decision making. Food industry background preferred.
Schedule
Monday – Friday | 7 AM – 4 PM
Compensation
$20 – $22/hour
Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders based on inventory needs for third party manufactures
- Coordination of shipping with carriers, submit claims for damaged deliveries
- Handle all vendor issues
- Source potential materials with the Product Development dept.
- Other duties assigned by upper levels
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Business, Supply chain or related field
- 1-3 years of purchasing and sourcing
- Strong computer skills especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal communication, writing skills, math skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Team Player
